Freedom, Education and Standardized Tests

Just as the measure of freedom is not the right to be, but the right to become. The measure of education is not what you know, but what you can learn. ---John Ruskin ---January 18, 2000 For this reason, I believe that standardized tests, measures of a student's knowlege with respect to a known population, do not measure the success of an education system. To use it in that fashion is wrong.
